WHY WE MADE THIS STRING

For the player seeking a generously powered, maximum comfort and spin, twisted squircle construction string. The Whirlwind is suitably named for its ability to promote a ball that swirls aggressively towards the opponent. However, it is also a dedication to Dr. Robert "Whirlwind" Johnson for his amazing achievement of mentoring African-American youths in the wonderful game of tennis. Among the people he trained were the World #1s, Althea Gibson and Arthur Ashe, Grand Slam Champion and humanitarian. Look for your personal motivation decal in every pack.

CONSTRUCTION

Specially developed blend of co-polyester, polyolefin elastomers, reinforced with carbon trace elements and premium additives providing industry leading torque and tension stability. Twisted extrusion for maximum feel, ball bite and spin. Proprietary manufacturing process provides the Whirlwind with a crispness and ball pocketing never before experienced in a profiled twisted string. Treated with MFC (Minimum Friction Coating) to provide optimum string snap-back for increased spin and ease of stringing.
